Farruko mixes classic hits on HBO Latino’s “En Letra de Otro” special
Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Farruko has taken classic hit songs such as Rivera’s “Qué Hay de Malo,” Yandel’s “Te Suelto el Pelo,” Divino’s “Me Trancaron” and Ricardo Arjona’s “Asignatura Pendiente” to give it his own twist for the HBO Latino series, En Letra de Otro. Filmed in Puerto Rico, Farruko sings his favorite songs that have inspired him throughout his career. This is the third edition of HBO Latino’s En Letra de Otro series, executive produced by Sharo Towers, and follows Pedro Capo: En Letra de Otro, which premiered on August 2017 and won a Latin Grammy for the best long form video category and 2018’s Gente de Zona: En Letra de Otro.
Seven Latin artists are currently on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, further proving that reggaeton and urban fusions are changing the game.
Daddy Yankee sits at No. 27 with “Con Calma (Remix)” featuring Katy Perry and Snow. Bad Bunny and Tainy nab the No. 68 spot with “Callaita,” while both Yankee and Bunny join Lunay in his “Soltera (Remix)” at No. 77. Meanwhile, Panamanian artist Sech celebrates his hit “Otro Trago” featuring Darell at No. 81, Pedro Capo and Farruko sit tight at No. 88 with their reggae track “Calma (Remix)” and Nicky Jam is at No. 94 with his Ozuna-assisted single “Te Robare.” Ozuna also holds the 96th position with the remix of “Baila Baila Baila” featuring Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Anuel AA and Farruko.
